Now there are seventeen weekly flights to German cities directly via Palma de Mallorca and vice versa, where around fifteen thousand Germans make their way to Costa Blanca vacation for the winter season. El Altet has recently become the second busiest destination in Spain for Air Berlin alone, and local hospitality industries hope the Germans will replace the absent national tourists in the economic downturn. Foreign tourists number up to 2.3% last year at 4.7 million, in across the region of Valencia for the year’s first three quarters. However, this winter there has been an apparent decline in the number of national tourists with Elche reporting a 30% fall in its reserves and Benidorm has been saved with 80% occupancy levels, reported by the Imserso organized discounted trips for Spanish pensioners.

The Canary Islands are currently suffering from economic recession and Costa Blanca, which has been popular as the cheapest destination in Spain for British tourists no longer holds the name. Its Benidorm counterpart has taken booking levels up to 70% from its also large number of loyal British clients. As for the 73 new rules in the beach resorts of Benidorm, Holidaymakers are hit with a €150 fine when regulations are violated. One example is putting towels on deckchairs and then leaving the area to sleep in the hotel rooms. It comes as a relief to others who can now finally enjoy grabbing a decent spot and relaxing by the sea without all the claptrap reservations. Another rule also bans drinking beer on the beach for a €300 fine. Also, between the hours of midnight and seven in the morning, those who are caught drinking champagne are subject to a whopping €750 fine. However, the hoteliers by and large welcome the changes but call for flexibility and tolerance in their applications.

<img src="http://i74.servimg.com/u/f74/11/74/66/71/invest10.jpg" alt=" Investing in Costa Blanca Properties" title=" Investing in Costa Blanca Properties" / style="float:left;margin:3px"/>For many years, Spain has been able to keep up with the image of being the ideal destination for many British investors, in spite reports of dropping prices and unsuccessful developers. There have been several stories regarding the Spanish property market submerging. A number of real estate agents have gone out of the business and many potential developers have been turned down for failure to meet specified regulations. However, it takes more than these issues to defer the large number of people who have always desired jumping for a property in Spain. And these buyers and investors will likely be the potential holders of some of the great deals in the real estate international market, whether business means investing in new constructions or resale. Private individuals, developers and agents may look around and take in opportunities to plunge, such are those which acquisitions and assets are protected in times of economic crisis.

A number of factors have impact over this matter. One consideration is to take into account the security of the subsidized company. Large and well-established companies have developers who are stable enough to stand on its own in times of instability having various resources preserved. There are currently projects in Costa del Sol, Mallorca and Costa Blanca that are obtainable up to 25 percent discounts. Before we could find offers like these in “Egypt property”, for example. This could be just the right deal if you are looking for a station in one of the most charming parts of Spain, and with an international airport that is only thirty minutes away, not to mention the fervent beaches of the Blanca coasts only a few kilometers distant! Anyway, another point is to find your way to the locales or regions that are not yet fully developed by local tourism. This is the state of many metro cities in the country, setting off smart ways of acquiring some of the finest in Spanish life and culture. Many of the cities in Spain are accessible from the coastal areas, and many colleges and universities are situated in city centres. Hence, this apparently implies that great opportunities can be made available for rentals even while you are out of the country. To end, as the market changes, the number of upset sales on the trade increases permitting purchasers to infiltrate properties far below bank valuations. This may seem slightly unpleasant as it is seemingly like taking advantage from the hard luck of others, but the fact reassures that the people who are selling it are merely exiting from a financial situation they got caught in, and buying their properties is a way of helping them out nevertheless.

<img src="http://i44.servimg.com/u/f44/11/74/66/71/costa11.jpg" alt="Basking in the sun at Costa Blanca" title="Basking in the sun at Costa Blanca" / style="float:left;margin:3px"/>If you wanted to visit a place I will call second to heaven. Then you should visit Costa Blanca. It is located approximately southeast of Spain in the province of Alicante and in the community of Valencia. It is a very long coastline stretching to about 200 km. The name Costa Blanca actually refers to the houses that were painted white in its surrounding area.

Costa Blanca weather is so heavenly that you only got to experience rain three or utmost 5 days a month. In April and May months it is best to stay here in Costa Blanca because the weather is temperate it is not very hot and neither it is very cold indeed. During the month of April and May Costa Blanca only experiences four and three days of rain respectively. Imagine you are basking in the sun and doing all sorts of activities for 28 days of sunny days without rain on the average.

Try to get hold of Spain’s map and locate Costa Blanca. From its location itself without yet visiting the place you can see that it has so many beaches. But what count most should be how the people here in Costa Blanca accommodate tourist or visitors.
The place is actually a major tourist destination all year round. It is flourishing with activities for tourist and locals alike. The local government of this place has actually accommodated the tourists that visit them all the year round.

There are beaches all over the world but what attract me here in Costa Blanca is that the place knows no race and caters to all and plus the unending activities under the sun like sailing, swimming, diving, windsurfing of the tourists and locasls. One of the most popular beaches here in Costa Blanca is the Playa de Levante in Valencia. Popular beaches on the south have very last secluded coves and are all available for tourist to see. There also quiet beaches on the south of Costa Blanca for those tourists who just wanted to spread a blanket and read a book or play music.

Renting one of the villas in Costa Blanca is one spectacular experience I ever had. Why not try the Frontline Villas at Moraira. The villas here are of exquisite taste. The atmosphere of the place itself is cool. You can have the view of the mountain and the view of the sea on the other side. The place actually is like a little palace. A solemn environment is conducive for family retreat or for family long vacations.

After gorging our self with the activities under the sun why don’t try to explore several towns in Costa Blanca and look around and shop all we want. There is cheap transportation around the place. You may hire a bus to tour you around the town if you travel in groups. And taxi cubs for families of four or five.

And of course would we forget to mention Spains delicacy- tapa? You could enjoy some gastronomic delight without leaving the confines of your hotel. Hotels in Costa Blanca also serve British, Chinese, Italian, Indian dishes for those who are conservative enough to stick to their own kind of food. But for those you would love to experience the delicacies of Spain visit Cava Arogenasa a very admirable tapa food hub to mention. And a Spanish meal is followed with delicious dessert from almond cakes coming from local farm around the place. And the meal is ended with choices of wine like misteleta and horchata. And we go home to watch the twinkling of the stars overnight or either enjoys more fun in Costa Blanca night entertainment.

It really does sound perfect, no? So what’s stopping you getting down to your local agencia de viajes to book your Costa Blanca holiday?

<img src="http://i24.servimg.com/u/f24/11/74/66/71/365_co10.jpg" alt="Staying 365 Days in Costa Blanca" title="Staying 365 Days in Costa Blanca" /style="float:left;margin:3px"/>COSTA Blanca is ac\ nice place to stay whether in summer or winter. Because today it is approaching winter, let’s discuss first the many festivities this month in Costa Blanca. Right now, Christmas season for Roman Catholic inhabitants and for the rest of the Christians is in full swing. Actually, it is still Advent which started last Sunday. For four succeeding Sundays, one Advent candle representing each Sunday will be lit in a wreath placed before the altar of the local Roman Catholic church. Then for nine dawns before Christmas Eve, Costa Blanca natives will go to mass. They will then consume breakfast at street-side eateries after the mass consisting of traditional Costa Blanca delicacies such as tapas and turron as dessert. Of course, who can ever forget the yummy seafood from the Mediterranean such as redfish, grouper, mussels and lobsters dipped in healthy olive oil?

Then they jog home to go back to their work because only December 25 is the holiday. In the evening of December 24, Costa Blanca natives then go to one house in the neighborhood to drink beer while waiting for the clock to tick midnight. An hour after midnight, they go back to their respective families to have a festive celebration. There are fireworks at the Mediterranean coastline and they are really spectacular to look at. When the civil world celebrate New Year on January 1, the Roman Catholics of Costa Blanca celebrate the Motherhood of Mary. For them, it is compulsory to attend mass on that day. Aside from that, there are fireworks again on New Year’s Eve. The Christmas celebration is capped with the feast of the Epiphany on the first Sunday of January and ordinary days of the liturgical year go back again a day after that.

For the uninitiated, there is also a small Jewish community here in Costa Blanca because Spain is a secular country with equal opportunity and non-discriminatory policies. The Jews love being here because there is an abundance of lamb meat here and Jews love lamb. They also have a celebration this month which is the Hannukah or the Festival of Lights to commemorate the win of the Maccabees over King Antiochus IV Epiphanes. The Muslims in Costa Blanca too have their own celebration – the Eid ul-Adha which commemorates the willingness of prophet Abraham to sacrifice his only son Isaac before Allah.

During summer, beaches of Costa Blanca are divided into two – the nudist and the non-nudist. The nudist beaches are exclusive to public nudists so if you want to skinny-dip only with your boyfriend around, then better go to a secluded beach. Just don’t go alone because lifeguards and the naval Guardia Civil don’t usually patrol these areas.

Remember though, after all the excitement of the skinny dipping, there’s the rest of Spain to explore too! Why not look into Malaga and explore Andalucia? A big change from Valencia!

You could also see places outside of Spain – France is but a mere flight away and, especially if you can learn the language beforehand (playing casino en ligne for example), you really coudl appreciate the change of scenery. Try St Tropez or Nice – sure fire favourites you can’t fail to enjoy!

AS winter is closing in, temperature in Costa Blanca significantly drops from 18 degrees Celsius to about 16. This is still warm though so most of the British tourists who have been here all summer long troop back here during the holidays for another round of vacation. That’s why holiday homes here in Costa Blanca have already been reserved for winter. Costa Blanca is after all one of the remaining places in Europe to have an ideal Christmas vacation. The temperature is just right, not too cold. The residents are devout Catholics and one can hear Mass every dawn for nine days preceding Christmas. After mass, churchgoers are greeted outside with the hearty breakfast of cocoa or coffee and some pure Costa Blanca sweets and delicacies. During Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, spectacular fireworks light up the Costa Blanca coastline.

Because of the usual influx of British and Scandinavian tourists, many Costa Blanca residents have become entrepreneurial. Here in this harbor city, a state of the art hospital for the aged will rise up. In fact, it is not just a hospital for the aged; it is a retirement home as well. The retirement home will be housed near a beach resort, the Santa Pola Life Resort. Lots of clients are expected in this retirement home as it will cater to the whole Alicante area. It will be employing only the best geriatricians in Spain.

Given all these circumstances, it’s high time now to invest in a holiday home in Costa Blanca. It’s so easy to start. If you are a European, you don’t need to get a visa here in Spain. And since Spain is located in the Iberian Peninsula which is part of mainland Europe of course, you can also ride the train going to Madrid to get here. You can even bring your own car and there will be no Customs who will accost you because land borders in Spain that are shared with Portugal are unguarded. That is part of the Schengen agreement.

But before getting here, you must book your flight, your hotel room and your airport car rentals ahead of time. They tend to be filled especially during summer. But now that the housing industry has radically shifted to Europe thanks to the mortgage slump in the United States, many people are turning to this part of the Atlantic to invest in real estate. That includes Spain and obviously Costa Blanca is not an exception.

Car rental models include the Opel Astra, the Peugeot 407 and the Mercedes E270. Prices can be packaged at $500 for two days. Once you’ve rented a car, you can now scout properties in Costa Blanca along with your spouse, children, lawyer and a real estate agent. Make sure that the lawyer is adept with the realty laws in Spain. Spanish real estate policy dictates that you only have to pay two real estate taxes – the annual property income tax and the garbage collection tax which is remitted directly to the municipal government, in the case of Costa Blanca, Alicante.

COSTA Blanca is a 200-kilometer stretch along the Mediterranean coast of Spain. And since Spain is a predominantly Catholic country, it celebrates a public holiday every November 1 which is All Saints Day. During this day all over Costa Blanca, the natives troop to the cemeteries where they honor their dead loves ones by placing flowers such as chrysanthemums to the foot of the tombs.

They also lay the most favorite food of their deceased loved ones so it’s not surprising to see arroz caldo or turron placed on top of the graves at this time of the year. There is another religious celebration in Costa Blanca during Halloween aside from Todos los Santos or All Saints Day. It’s the culmination of Rosary Month every October 31.

During this particular celebration, balloons shaped like rosaries are flown all over the Mediterranean coastline. To those who are lucky enough to retrieve these merged balloons, they will receive special prizes in the form of novelty items like a golf club treat or a dinner for two or even a night’s stay for two at one of the posh luxury beach resorts here.

Speaking of resorts here in Costa Blanca, you’re in luck because the resorts here are all accredited blue flag accreditation. It means that they are taken care of in a very utmost manner. It also means that their locations are spic-and-span and tidy and tap water can be drunk. Beach resort managements here in Costa Blanca are so strict when it comes to environmental practices such as littering. When it comes to their paved parking areas, they will warn you not to park your rented off-road vehicles since mud from the tire tracks may distort the pavement.

Other specialties of Costa Blanca beach resorts are the presence of nurseries. It is there where you place your toddler or infant in order not to disturb your second honeymoon. These nurseries are equipped with highly-trained infant psychologists. Nurseries in beach resorts around the Iberian Peninsula such as Costa Blanca have been popular following the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in Portugal.

Also, these beaches around Costa Blanca are equipped with lifeguards. But a warning to honeymooners out there – these lifeguards do not usually patrol the remote beaches around their jurisdiction so make sure not to stray yourselves farther out. Anyway, Costa Blanca also has its share of nudist beaches but they are usually deserted during Halloween season since the temperatures here tend to go down already in 7 degrees Celsius or so.

The temperate Mediterranean climate makes it an atmosphere for kids to party during Halloween. Just like what they do in the rest of the Western world including the United States across the Atlantic, they also have their treat-or-trick thing here in Costa Blanca. These kids usually knock at the doors of visiting foreigners in their vacation homes and ask for candies so make sure to have a stockpile of them during Halloween. In fact, the next day – All Saints Day – is jokingly called as The Day We Fell Sick from Eating Chocolate.

<img src="http://i13.servimg.com/u/f13/11/74/66/71/costab11.jpg" alt="Spending winter in Costa Blanca" title="Winter in Costa Blanca" / style="float:left;margin:3px"/>COSTA Blanca extends up to 200 kilometers of nothing but both wholesome and nudist beaches in the Mediterranean province of Alicante in Spain. But these nudist beaches are mostly deserted during winter for even winters here can be that cold. Well, not that cold as the rest of Europe because many German tourists flock here during winter and spend Christmas here because it is relatively warmer. Those are the people who hate to spend their holidays in coldness.

Some of the other tourists here come from such tropical countries as the Philippines. Many come here on tourist visas but once they like it here, they can certainly acquire properties here in the cities adorning Costa Blanca like Benidorm and Malaga. Acquiring properties here by foreigners is not really a problem because there are only two applicable real estate taxes – the income tax and the garbage collection tax. The income tax is computed on whether the property was used for profit purposes like whether a factory was established over it. If you will use the property as your vacation home and lease it your German compatriots, then your income tax will be computed as such. On the other hand, the garbage collection tax goes directly to the local government in Costa Blanca where the property is located. So whether you’re in Benidorm or in Malaga, the garbage collection tax is collected monthly there.

To acquire for properties here in Costa Blanca, you need to live here at least two weeks during summer, two weeks during non-holidays and two weeks during winter. During summer, Costa Blanca is literally invaded not just by German tourists but also by British, Scottish, Irish and tourists coming from the Scandinavian countries. There are two kinds of beaches here in Costa Blanca – there are wholesome beaches and nudist ones. The nudist beaches are mostly populated by gays and other naturists. You cannot go into these beaches if you’re just a pervert who is looking for some fun being a voyeur. You need to go commando by yourself so to speak. Another thing nice about the beaches of Costa Blanca is that all the resorts here are being stamped with the blue flag accreditation. A blue flag accreditation is granted by the European Union and it simply means that EU inspectors are inspecting these beaches periodically.

In these inspections, hygiene and environment-friendliness is highly appreciated and emphasized. Costa Blanca beach resort management is fairly strict even to foreign visitors when it comes to littering and other related policies here. Even the off-road vehicles that you rent out cannot cross into the parking areas of these beaches for fear that the paved parking areas will be littered with mud coming from your tire tracks.

During winter, these beaches are fairly deserted already but it’s nice to have your wedding reception here by the beach facing the Mediterranean on a moist morning or sundown. At least, there’s no snow in there but a romantic atmosphere pervades. Or maybe you can spend the holidays here strolling around the neighborhood and looking for some fresh Mediterranean catch.

STAYING in Costa Blanca this Christmas will always be a wonderful option. Costa Blanca is the eastern part of Spain which overlooks the Mediterranean. And it is in this reason that Costa Blanca is one of the destinations this season. Even if they say that Costa Blanca is devoid of tourists during Christmas season that is not particularly true at all. All of Spain experience winter yet the Mediterranean coastline part of it have a relatively temperate climate. Temperatures can just be as low as -3 degrees Celsius. Costa Blanca is part of the Mediterranean and so therefore it must be nice in here during the Christmas season.

To come here in Costa Blanca, you need to go to the nearest international airport in Alicante. There are lots of regional airlines here which service routes coming in from the rest of the European mainland such as Paris, Bonn and even those from the United Kingdom areas such as Cardiff and London. You don’t need a visa to come here and see Costa Blanca during Christmastime if you come from Europe. But of course, if you come across the Atlantic like Mexico, Canada and the United States, you need to have a visa. Plus only smaller airlines such as Ryan Air cater to the direct Costa Blanca route if you come here in this part of Spain. So if you want to have more amenities associated with flagship carriers, then land in Madrid.

Remember that to come here in Costa Blanca during Christmastime, you need to pack up with lots of clothes because it can be cold here if you’re thrift. Or if you’re not, why not shop around the many shops adorning the beach areas in Costa Blanca for some shirts and parka. You need layers and layers of clothing to protect yourself from frostbite. Just don’t don any cottony fiber because cotton tends to absorb moisture. Here in Costa Blanca, you can enjoy the Christmas season much as it is enjoyed elsewhere in Spain with the exception of a few deviations.

These deviations are in the form of nudist beaches but these are usually understandably deserted during Christmas which also coincides with the peak of winter. These beaches are often inhabited by Dutch visitors so they really are not natives to Costa Blanca. The real people in Costa Blanca are fun-loving, innocent and simple. They are the people who adhere strictly to Catholic traditions. They are in a way what you can call as true Catholics. The first hint of a religious Christmas celebration comes in during the first four weeks before Christmas. This is called the Season of Advent and Catholics here light the Advent candle during the first mass of the fourth Sunday before Christmas.

The individual who will have the privilege to light the candle will be one of the most prominent families in the particular parish. This tradition goes on even after the second, third and fourth week of Advent. After that, people here then go to mass starting nine days before Christmas. And small-scale businessmen then take the opportunity to blend with the crowd after the mass to offer Spanish breakfasts for sale.

TO get to Costa Blanca this winter, you need to board a flight for Madrid International Airport then get around some domestic flights. To do this, you need to book right now. You cannot just go to Costa Blanca and board a flight immediately during Christmas day because it will be a nightmare of queues. All flights regardless of which country you come from will have been filled that day.

You need to check first with the most popular online travel agencies in the world right now – Travelocity or Expedia – either of the two will do. Then you need to book an international flight to Madrid and another domestic flight to Costa Blanca. There are also direct international flights available for Malaga International Airport and San Javier International Airport. The third thing you must do is to enter into hotel deals. But take note; there are packaged hotel deals readily available from the international flight to the domestic flight.

Winters here in Costa Blanca tend to be cold because of the easterly wind sweeping in from the Mediterranean. So be sure to store layers and layers of clothing in your luggage before coming here. Or else, shop around the many malls arrayed in the various Costa Blanca cities because Christmas in the shopping malls here tend to be similar to the ones all over the world. Shopping malls here have the same commercial Christmas spirit. There are various Santa Clauses, there are huge discounts on various Christmas items, and there is even what some may call as midnight sales. In these midnight sales, items found in malls have discounts to as much as 70 percent off and malls closed down at 12 midnight.

This is especially true during December 23 or the last Friday, Saturday and Sunday before Christmas. Some items to watch out for are fireworks as they tend to run out. Speaking of fireworks, there are spectacular ones in show especially during Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve and they are usually being held at the Mediterranean coasts. These fireworks are really fabulous ones since their reflections will be seen at the Mediterranean Sea. So the best way to spend Christmas Eve here in Costa Blanca is to hop aboard the various luxury yachts available.

Again, it must be emphasized that these luxury yachts are only available at least two months before Christmastime because that’s peak season already so book your reservations now. If you are at a loss on where to book, then don’t because online travel agencies also have contacts with these conveyances of pleasure. During New Year’s Eve, these luxury boats have their own parties complete with live jazz music. There are also various gimmicks on board such as raffle prizes, games, dare-or-lose and other novelty sports. There are DJs who will be happy to play your favorite house and party music. There’s plenty of food and noche Buena and New Year’s Eve cocktails will be served in a buffet. Don’t just take my word for it, come here in Costa Blanca this Christmas
